We are thrilled to welcome Maura to The Foot Spot team! Maura is a highly skilled and dedicated podiatrist who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our clinic. She is a proud graduate of the University of Galway, Ireland, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Podiatric Medicine.

Maura has a profound interest in diabetic foot care, emphasizing thorough vascular and neurological testing in clinical settings. She believes in establishing a baseline for patients, particularly concerning vascular status and neuropathy. Education is a key protective factor that Maura prioritizes in every patient interaction.

Her expertise includes managing a range of both diabetic and non-diabetic ulcers, musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions, offloading, orthosis and footwear prescriptions (both off-the-shelf and custom devices), and ingrown toenail management. Maura is skilled in conducting extensive vascular and neurological assessments, infection control, debridement, sterile techniques, and dressing selection.

Maura maintains constant communication and writes onward referrals to specialist services, imaging, pathology, and other healthcare practitioners as needed. She facilitates a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, utilizing effective communication and best practice guidelines to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
