Welcome to The Foot Spot, where we're dedicated to taking care of your feet and helping you take a step in the right direction towards better foot health. Below you will find some useful tips and information to make your first appointment an absolute breeze. Of course if you have any further questions please feel free to email us anytime via reception@thefootspot.com.au or call (02) 9326-3777

  1. We are here to listen to you and understand your unique needs. So, before you arrive take a moment to note down the top concerns you would like us to address during your first visit. This way we can make the most of our time together and tackle the issues that matter most to you.

  2. Your first appointment is scheduled for 45 to 60 minutes. Please bear in mind that we might not be able to fix everything at once or at one visit - we will do our very best. But don't worry, we are experts at prioritizing and strategizing. By discussing your concerns with us, our experienced team can guide you on what issues we can address right away and what may require additional attention in future visits.

  3. We would ask that you be ON TIME for your appointment. Please try to avoid being late. If you are going to be late, please call reception on 9326-3777 and check whether this will be able to be accommodated for. As much as we can’t wait to see you - you do not have to be at your appointment prior to the scheduled time. We pride ourselves on running on time or as close as possible. Of course, there are very infrequently some emergencies which we cannot control - but you have our promise, we will be on schedule for your appointment 99.99% of the time.

  4. Let's not forget about shoes! They're not just a fashion statement - they play a vital role in foot health. So, when you come for your appointment, don't forget to bring some examples of the shoes you wear most frequently if this is important to your problem - for example if you have a sports injury or a workplace injury, heel pain, achilles problems - these are all examples of when the shoes you wear may be useful. Whether it's stylish sneakers, trusty work boots, or comfy everyday shoes, showing us your shoes helps us understand how they may be contributing to any foot-related problems you're experiencing.

  5. Do you have any X-rays, scans, reports, or referrals related to your condition or problem that you are seeing us about? These documents are like puzzle pieces that reveal valuable information. Plus, they can save you from any further unnecessary tests. So gather them up and bring them along and our team will use this information to provide a more accurate assessment of your condition. If you don't have any, don't worry. We can see what you need at your appointment and usually organize it quickly and efficiently for you. These tests may even be able to be performed under Medicare and quite often with our referral can be done for free!

  6. We accept ALL private health funds using HICAPS at the clinic. Please bring your physical card or digital card/QR code to your appointment, where we will make the claim for you, meaning all you have to pay is any remaining gap. Please note all health funds rebates and coverage are different for each individual patient. If you would like to know what you are entitled to claim, please contact your private health fund prior to your appointment. Please note without a physical card or digital card/QR code we cannot claim on the spot for you - we can issue you a receipt which you can use to make the claim after the appointment.

  7. If you are on an Enhanced Primary Care (Medicare +) plan via referral from GP please note we can only accept these if they are made out to the appropriate Podiatrist at The Foot Spot. Not all patients are eligible for EPC/Medicare rebates. Although we accept these referrals, patients must pay for their appointment in full then make the claim themselves from Medicare. The Foot Spot is not responsible for claiming rebates for individual patients. WE DO NOT BULK BILL.

  8. We accept all major forms of credit cards - including EFTPOS, AMEX, VISA and MASTERCARD.

  9. If you are a WORKERS COMPENSATION CASE - you. must have a VALID REFERRAL and APPROVAL from your insurance prior to your first appointment, otherwise patients must pay up front and make an individual claim back from their own provider.

  10. We want to make your experience with us as seamless as possible. That's why we offer flexibility if you need to reschedule or adjust your appointment. Just give us a call on (02) 9326-3777 or drop us an email at reception@thefootspot.com.au, and we'll handle the rest. Please keep in mind that we highly value our patients' time. We take pride in running on schedule, but if you can't make it, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice. This way we can make alternative arrangements and avoid any inconvenience for you or other patients. Please note a cancellation fee may be charged if you do not provide 24 hours notice. We appreciate your cooperation!

Our team at The Foot Spot can't wait to help you step into a pain-free future. From foot troubles to lower limb issues, we've got you covered. We can't wait to meet you!
